Brazil’s new head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has unveiled his inaugural squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Ecuador and Paraguay, scheduled for June 5 and 10 respectively.
The 26-man Squad notably excludes star forward Neymar, who remains sidelined as Ancelotti embarks on a new era with the national team.
The squad features a blend of seasoned internationals and emerging talents across all positions.
In goal, Ancelotti has selected Alisson, Bento, and Hugo Souza. In
Defence, full-backs Alex Sandro, Carlos Augusto, Wesley, and Vanderson have been named, alongside centre-backs Alexsandro, Beraldo, Marquinhos, Leo Ortiz, and Danilo.
The midfield boasts a robust mix, including Andreas Pereira, Andrey Santos, Bruno Guimarães, Casemiro, Ederson, and Gerson, signalling Ancelotti’s aim to forge a balanced core combining youth, creativity, and defensive resilience.

The attacking line-up features Vinícius Júnior, Antony, Raphinha, Gabriel Martinelli, Matheus Cunha, Richarlison, and rising star Estêvão.
The Brazilian Football Confederation released the official squad list on Monday via X.
Brazil will host Ecuador on June 5, before travelling to Paraguay five days later, as they pursue qualification for the 2026 World Cup, to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
