Anita raises divorce upkeep demand from P-Square's Paul Okoye to N12 million

Nigerian signer, Paul Okoye and wife Anita have taken their divorce proceedings to another level with an amended petition filed by the estranged wife.

Represented by her new counsel, Ojonimi Apeh, Anita Okoye is now seeking the sum of $20,000 as monthly upkeep for her and their three children as against the initial $15,000.

A High Court in Abuja heard the matter on Thursday and has adjourned till July 13 for a decision on the petition seeking for a decree to dissolve the marriage.

The 7-year old marriage hit the rocks two years ago with Anita complaining of denial of conjugal rights, lack of spousal rights and irreconcilable differences.

She is also seeking an order of court to grant her custody of their three children who now live with her in the United States of America

The new petition will require Paul Okoye to forfeit half of the properties acquired during their union.

The trial judge, Justice Osho Adebiyi after stating how the case has suffered several adjournments, fixed July 13 for definite hearing.
