The All Progressives Congress, APC, has entered an appeal at the Makurdi Division of the Court of Appeal against judgement of the Benue State High Court sacking the party’s State Caretaker Committee.
The APC has also filed a motion at the State High Court for a stay of execution of the judgement that nullified the dissolution of the Austin Agada-led State Working Committee pending hearing and determination of the appeal.
The APC through its lawyer, Mathew Burkaa, filed the Appeal. The motion is praying for the following Orders:
An order of injunction restraining the 1st – 9th Respondents from enforcing or taking any step to enforce or take benefit of the Ruling/Judgement of the Honourable Court in Suit No: MHC/1587M/2024 delivered on the 28th day of November 2024, pending the hearing and determination of the Appellant’s appeal against the said Ruling/Judgment by the Court of Appeal.
Also an order staying the execution of the Ruling/Judgement of the Honourable Court in Suit No: MHC/1587M/2024 delivered on the 28th day of November 2024, pending the hearing and determination of the Appellant’s appeal against the said Ruling/Judgement by the Court of Appeal.
