The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Campaign Council says the inclusion of former Governor of Enugu State Chimaroke Nnamani as a member of the council is authentic and factual.

Eyebrows were raised as Nnamani a former Governor of Enugu State is a serving senator on the ticket of Peoples Democratic Party

He has again won the nomination of Enugu East Senatorial District on the platform of PDP ahead the 2023 election.

According to a statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of the Campaign Council Bayo Onanuga, Nnamani is on the list of Tinubu/Shettima Campaign in his own right as a supporter of APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

“He may not be on the field with us as a PDP Senatorial Candidate in Enugu East, but his presence is indicative that he may have chosen to give moral support to his old-time friend and brother”.

“Any explanation as to his status should be coming from the other party and not from us who are very proud to be associated with him”

The campaign council also responded to the anxiety that has accompanied the All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Committee’s (PCC) list, assuring that “work is still in Progress on its composition”

There had been reports of grudges by some All Progressives Congress Governors who protested the non-inclusion of their nominees in the list.

Some of the Governors were said to have threatened to sabotage the Presidential campaign.

But the Director of Media and Publicity of the Council, Bayo Onanuga explained that the list released over the weekend was a partial one.

He stated that some of the nominees of the Governors have emerged as part of the leadership of the Council.

Onanuga added that another list containing the other nominees of the Governors will be included in the composition of the various Directorates that will be released soon.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress Campaign activities will begin on Wednesday with Prayer Session and Peace Walk after collection of letters by nominees same day
