The All Progressives Congress, APC, has called on security operatives to investigate the Peoples Democratic Party’s, PDP, allegation of foiled plot to attack the residence of Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in Yola, Adamawa State by suspected terrorists.

Though the ruling APC was alleged to be the brain behind the attack, National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka urged the Departnent of State Service to invite the PDP leadership to substantiate these claims and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The statement said that act of terror or involvement in terrorists plot are heinous crimes under the law and the PDP cannot continue to spread allegations around without justification.

The APC added that law enforcement authorities must protect and investigate any threat to the person of the PDP Presidential Candidate in the 2023 Presidential Election.

Drawing instance from the allegation of PDP accusing the APC of attempt to undermine Nigeria’s Judiciary few days ago, The APC noted that it was irresponsible for the PDP to continuously politicise serious matters of security and National importance.
