Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and Director-General of The Progressive Governors Forum, Salihu Lukman says credit must be given to leaders and members of the opposition party for managing the process leading to the election of the new members of the National Working Committee.

In a statement titled “Opposition Politics and Campaign for New Nigeria”, the APC Governors Forum Director General advised the new executive to build on the new atmosphere to start a new begining for the party which should be based on Honesty, respect for one another and recognising that politics is all about negotiations and agreements.

He noted that the PDP ‘s October 30 National Convention recorded the success because of negotiations to produce leaders adding that it was a deviation from the past when the PDP reigned as a ruling party.

The APC Chieftain however pulled the rug from the feet of PDP saying the speeches at the convention ground demonstrated lack of commitment to take responsibility by the Party.

Lukman said apart from PDP’s failure to tell Nigerians its new agenda for the citizens, the PDP is still lost in the belief that the problem of the country is a creation of the All Progressives Congress.

He also called on the ruling APC to use its forthcoming National Convention to demonstrate its commitment to change Nigeria.

Lukman essentially called for a debate for the amendment of APC manifesto to capture the challenges of the nation.
