The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Katsina state has assured its teaming supporters that it will continue to discharge its responsibilities creditably.

Governor Aminu Masari who stated this shortly after receiving the report of the just concluded ward congresses from the chairman of the committee, Ali Kumo said, the choice of consensus method of the congress attested to the acceptability and trust of the party among faithful.

According to Governor Masari, restructuring the party has to start from the grassroots by way of handing over the party to the people.

He added that the era of party big wigs deciding or imposing candidates or officials on the people is over and the peaceful conduct of the ward congresses into the 361 wards across the 34 Local Government Areas is a clear testimony.

Though there were reports of two Local Government Areas where disagreements occurred, Masari said all issues have been resolved hence, the comprehensive report by the committee.

He denied that the committee received petitions over the conduct of the process saying, the party has put up mechanisms to tackle any of such if it occurs.

Both the Governor and the committee hinted that with the submission of the report to the party’s headquarters, the state is ready for the conduct of the remaining congresses.
