Former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu is set to be the next Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The development became clearer with the withdrawal of the other six aspirants from the race.
The other six aspirants are Tanko Al-Makura, George Akume, Abdulaziz Yari, Sani Musa Muhammed, Etsu Muhammed and Turaki Mustapha.
A statement signed by George Akume stated that the action followed the appeal of President Muhammadu Buhari for a concensus arrangement.
The Aspirants have been locked in series of meeting in the last 48hours to come up with the decision.
