The Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum, Salihu Lukman has accused the Mai Mala BUni led APC Caretakers Committee of sabotaging decision taken to hold the party’s national convention in February 2022
Salihu in a statement issued on Thursday said it was disrespectful for the Caretaker Committee to say it was embarking on consultations with party stakeholders to prepare ground for a rancour free election.
National Secretary Of APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee John Akpanudoedehe had on Wednesday issued a statement in Abuja saying its priority is to address contentious issues within the party which are fallouts of recently conducted congresses
Lukman described Udoedehe's statement without coming up with a specific date for the Convention as a slap on the face of Nigerians and an insult on party Members. The Progressive Governors Director General says the Buni led caretaker Extraordinary Planning Committee is intentionally promoting Speculations around the APC National Convention .
He said the Leadership of the Committee is supporting the Public Speculations maligning Governors and other senior Leaders of the Party as working to stop the APC National Convention from holding in February 2022
