A caretaker committee has been inaugurated to manage the affairs of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State.
The party which has been factionalised for some time now says its agenda is to work for the unity of the APC in the state.
The APC in rivers state has been a divided house for some time now, a situation that has endangered its political fortunes in the state. A faction led by Igo Aguma has been holding the claim of being the legitimate APC in the state.

There has also been series of court cases which have further deepened the party’s internal crisis.
Now, a caretaker committee has been set up for the state and it is headed by isaac ogbobular
Ogbobular says the APC is going to be repositioned to take over power in rivers state.
Caretaker committees have also been inaugurated to coordinate the affairs of the party in the 23 local government areas of the state with the members pledging to work for the unity of the party
It remains to be seen how far the party makes good its promise to unify its members with litigations yet to be withdrawn from the courts.
