The planned Local Government Congress of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) , held in some parts of Bauchi state on Saturday, despite court order restraining the party from going ahead with the exercise.
In Tafawa Balewa LGA, some members of the party converged on the party secretariat to perform the exercise amid tight security.
This was as other members of the party met elsewhere to conduct their own parallel congress.

Similar situations with the confusion of parallel congresses played out in Dass, Bogoro LGAs and indeed across the state.
In Bogoro LG a faction of the APC held its congress in front of the party secretariat which was under lock and key.
Speaking with ait.live, a member of the party, Buka Zhadi confirmed that the exercise held in Bogoro and that the party adhered strictly to the guidelines released by the party leadership.
