Members of the All Progressive Congress party in Ifako-Ijaye Local government Area of Lagos state this Saturday conducted their local government congress peacefully through voice votes.
Members who arrived the venue of the Congress election as early as 8.00 am chorus yes to the names of the selected members who form the 27 man local government executive.
According to the Chairman of the local government’s Congress electoral committee, Sultan Adeniji-Adele, the committee gave approval to voice votes as proposed by members of the party in the area.
A chieftain of the party in the local government, Benjamin Olabinjo described the process of electing the new officials as transparent and widely accepted.

The 27 newly elected local government officials of the party are to be chaired by Deacon Banjo Omole.
Present at the Congress are representatives of the INEC and security agents.
