The National Vice Chairman (North West) of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Salihu Lukman has advised the party to effectively counter all the false narratives on the performance of the party emanating from the opposition ahead of the 2023 election campaign.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, Lukman said the party must develop effective communication strategy which has been one of the strong weaknesses of both APC as a party and as a governing party at the federal level.

According to him, APC’s 2023 Presidential campaign must use evidence-based politics to showcase the initiatives of the President Buhari-led Federal Government in all areas of the economy.

Lukman who is the immediate past Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum noted that challenges of insecurity are being used by opposition parties to “falsely allege” that APC has failed in economic development and divided Nigerians along ethnic and religious lines.

He identified some of the areas where giant strides have been recorded to include, the rail subsector, road transportation and Agriculture among others.
