The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the threat of the sacked 16members of the Plateau State House of Assembly to resume sitting on Tuesday as an indication of insurrection and invitation to anarchy.

In a statement issued by the Plateau State APC Publicity Secretary, Sylvanus Namang and made available by the National Secretariat in Abuja, stated that the Appeal Court Judgement which sacked the 16 PDP State House of Assembly members and its National Assembly members has a stamp of finality which can not be upturned by any court in the land in line with Section 246 of the 1999 constitution (as amended).

The All Progressives Congress noted that the Supreme Court verdict which awarded victory to Governor Mutfwang is personal to him and has no multiplier or spillover effect on anyone already sacked.

“Just as we have accepted, as true Democrats, the decision of the Supreme Court, the PDP has no option than to accept the fate that has befallen them and wait for the next election cycle”, the statement added.

The APC called on all arms of security agencies in the State to up the ante to handle any illegal act as Plateau State House of Assembly resumes on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
