A Coalition group, the Ondo Peoples Assembly (OPA), made up of members of all progressives congress, Civil Society and Artisans wants the leadership of the APC to sanction Senator Jimoh Ibrahim for continuously attacking the party, and undermining a democratic process conducted by the party.
Jimoh Ibrahim, with fifteen others participated in the April 20 Governorship Primary Election of the All progressives congress but lost to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The convener of the group, Olufemi Lawson while addressing journalists in Akure, Ondo state capital on Friday, said the recent actions of the Senator representing Ondo South in the red-Chamber is not only detrimental to the party but also to the entire state.
The Group alleged that Senator Ibrahim is working with some desperate politicians in the major opposition political party to distract the APC’s preparation for the November 16 Governorship election.
It noted that Ibrahim has failed to explore the necessary mechanism of the party to seek redress before challenging the outcome of the primary Election at the court.
