The All Progressives Congress APC has fixed July 24 for an emergency National Executive Committee meeting.
The meeting will essentially nominate a Chairman to replace Abdullahi Ganduje who resigned last Friday.
This is part of the decision reached at the first National Working Committee meeting presided over by the Acting National Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori.
Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter said a notice to that effect has already been dispatched to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Dalori while addressing members of the NWC on Monday said he embraced the new responsibility with the awareness of the challenges ahead
He urged members to avoid words and actions that will divide the party.
