Suspected herdsmen have attacked the palace of a traditional ruler in Ekiti State and kidnapped the monarch.
The traditional ruler is the Obadu of Ilemesho Ekiti, Oba David Oyewumi in Oye Local Government Area of the state.
ait.live gathered that the gunmen numbering about 6 allegedly invaded the palace late last night in a village very close to Isan-Ekiti, the country home of the State Governor, Kàyode Fayemi and took the traditional ruler away to an unknown destination.

All efforts to speak with the State Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu were not successful, as he did not pick his calls by the time of filing this report.
