Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen have attacked a General hospital in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, North-central Nigeria.
The gunmen who invaded the hospital Monday night came in a commando style and shut sporadically.
That marked another dark day for the people of Barking Ladi community, as the gunmen wreaked havoc again, but this time at a health facility where many came to seek care and treatment.
One of the hospital’s security men was shot dead instantly, while others including a Police officer attached to the health facility was rushed to the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH. His rifle was taken away by the invaders.

The son of the deceased and the management of the hospital want government to improve security as the killings are becoming too many.
As at the time of filing in this report, the State Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka, visited the scene of the attack and ordered the reinforcement of mobile police personnel.
