The Nigeria Army says it is ready to collaborate with other security agencies to reduce rising crime cases in Ondo state and the South-west at large.
This forms major discussion at an inter-agency interactive workshop, organised by the Nigerian Army for Exercise Crocodile Smile VI at the Owena Cantonment, Akure.
Worried by recent security threats in Ondo State, like kidnapping, armed robbery among others, the Nigerian Army called for effective synergy among security agencies to combat the rising crime rate.
This necessitated this Inter-Agency interaction between the Nigerian army and other security agencies
The General Officer Commanding, 2 Division of Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Major-General Anthony Omozoje, explained that it has become imperative for security agencies to work together for lasting peace in the country.
Heads of security agencies present at the interaction agreed that effective teamwork is needed to achieve better result.

Heads of security agencies present at the workshop include the Police, DSS, FRSC, NSCDC, NDLEA, Customs and Correctional services.
