2022 Army Day: Three Brigade Kano evacuates refuse in Sabon Gari

As part of its corporate social responsibility, troops of the three Brigade Nigerian Army have evacuated refuse from drainages at Igbo Road in Sabon Gari area of Fagge local government area of the state.

The gesture by the Nigerian Army on their host communities is to keep the environment tidy and also to mark the Army Day celebrations.

The clearing of the drainages by troops of three Brigade Nigerian army Kano commenced from New road by Ibo road and terminated at Enugu road all in the state metropolis

The troops were equally joined by corp members to carry out the task joyfully.

Speaking during the exercise, Commander of the three Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Siniyah Nicodemus said they chose the area because of the large tonnes of refuse that was being dumped in the area, which is dangerous to the health of the people.

He charged the people to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse.

For the host community, it is a thing of joy seeing officers in uniform clearing their environment.

 The theme for the 2022 Army year celebration is “Repositioning the Nigerian Army in the Joint Operations Environment: A Panacea for Success in Addressing Contemporary Security Challenges”.
