The Nigerian Army says it is adopting new methods and techniques to ensure total defeat of adversaries and other criminal elements who have been undermining the sovereignty of Nigeria.

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya said this during Exercise Camp Highland, which is the final training for Cadets Regular Course 69 in Kachia, Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria that climaxed with the Battle Inoculation for passing out cadets at the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA.

The exercise, besides building skills and competence, is also to expose cadets to real live battle situations.

NDA Commandant, Major-General Ibrahim Yusuf explained that additional courses were introduced in order to build cadets’ capacity for the task ahead.
Nigeria’s Army Chief commended the Academy for sustaining training over the years, and explained that the Army will continue to review the institution’s curriculum to meet Nigeria’s dynamic security situation.
Lieutenant-General Yahaya warned those undermining the sovereignty of the country and advised them to give up their evil acts or face the wrath of the law.
Highlights of the battle inoculation included narrative camp description, fire power demonstration and assault of the enemy’s territories.
