The Nigerian Army says it will ensure justice is served in the murder case of Jennifer Ugadu an undergraduate student of the Niger Delta University, Ammasona, allegedly killed by a soldier said to be her jealous lover.
Jennifer was said to have been shot in her apartment by the suspect who is now at large.
A Statement by the Army spokesperson Brigadier-general Onyema Nwachukwu says while the Nigerian Army commiserates with the family of the deceased, it wishes to state that there is no place for such barbaric acts in the Army, an institution that is accountable to the people.

He said the Army has taken the allegation seriously and a joint investigation has commenced, while the effort to profile and ascertain the true identity of the suspect is ongoing, promising that details of the investigation will be made public.
