Army troops of Sector 3 ambush, kill 23 ISWAP Terrorists in Borno

Troops of Sector 3 Multinational Joint Force MNJTF, Monguno, Operation Hadin Kai have killed 23 Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Borno state.

The feat was recorded on September 22, 2024 when the troops ambushed the insurgents in Malam Fatori.

Report by a counter insurgency analyst, Zagazola Makama notes that the incident occurred following an earlier engagement, during which troops pushed back enemy forces before killing three of the insurgents in a fierce engagement.

Two soldiers sustained injuries during the clash as troops recovered weapons and equipment from the insurgents including 1 PKM machine gun,1 AK-47 rifle, 2 hand grenades, 5 magazines, 3 empty PKM links and 1 box of 200 linked PKM rounds among others.

In a similar development, The Troops of Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai in conjunction with a hybrid force, also killed five Boko Haram terrorists during an aggressive raid in the enclave of the terrorist in Bula Dalo in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

However, one member of the hybrid force sustained injury.
