The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has issued a 15-day strike notice, starting from Monday, October 7, 2024.
ASUP President, Shammah Kpanja, at a Press briefing in Abuja on Thursday, said the notice has become necessary as the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has renaged on agreement to withdraw what it calls an obnoxious scheme of service.
ait.live Labour Correspondent recalls that the Nigerian Polytechnics lecturers had suspended a planned strike in July, 2024 after its leadership met with the Minister of Education and the regulators, where agreements were reached.
