The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District of Adamawa State, Elisha Abbo, Says ongoing strike by the Academic Staff union of universities, can pose a threat to 2023 General elections.
The Senator who spoke exclusively to ait.live in Abuja expressed disappointment in Federal government’s inability to resolve the five months old strike.
Senator Abbo also cautioned students against engaging in violent protests
The Senator also faulted ASUU, for consistently engaging on strike over the years
ASUU has been on strike for over 150 days since February 14 in demand for renegotiation of 2009 agreement, Adoption of university Transperancy and Accountability Solution, UTAS, as a payment system among other requests.
