National leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, led by its president have stormed the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma in Edo State, South-South Nigeria.
They have joined the colleagues in the Edo State Government owned university to protest against the recent decision of Governor Godwin Obaseki to ban workers unions in tertiary institutions and his refusal to pay the striking university lecturers their salaries.

The AAU ASUU members and the national leaders marched round major roads in Ekpoma to protest against the State Government action. The demonstration climaxed at the pupolar market square in Ekpoma.
