The Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga is appealing to the Federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to come to an agreement in ending the lingering strike, which has kept Nigerian university students out of school.
Bishop Onaga made this appeal on the occasion of his pastoral visit to the Seat of Wisdom Secondary School, Trans-Ekulu Enugu, South East Nigeria.
The clergy who is worried about the continued stay at home by the country’s youth whom he refers to as, the “Future of Nigeria”, pleads with ASUU to take charge, as they are the superior partners in the negotiations, insisting that they have the wisdom and should apply it in bringing our children back to classes.
