Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi has called for the implementation of the “no work, no pay” for workers when they embark on strike in the country.
Umahi stated this in Abakaliki, the capital on Thursday at the inauguration of the Governing Board for the newly established David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital, Uburu.

Making reference to the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU), Umahi noted that it will be unreasonable for anybody to ask for salaries without working.
Also inaugurated was the Governing Council of the State government own Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
Governor Umahi tasks the newly inaugurated Council and Board members on setting high standards for both institutions.
