The Lagos Zonal Coordinator of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Adelaja Odukoya, says the union may embark on strike if government fails to honour the renegotiated 2009 agreement, including the reconstitution of Universities’ Governing Councils, payment of owed salaries and earned academic allowances amongst other demands.
Odukoya disclosed this on Tuesday during a media briefing on the State of the Union’s Affairs, with regards to negotiations with government, on the demands of the university lecturers.
