Nobody could explain who shot them, The identities of the victims are still undisclosed as Police in the area is yet to confirm the incident.

The major streets of Awka, the capital city were deserted as residents and vehicles, kept off the roads.

The popular and ever-busy Unizik Junction, as well as the Abakaliki Road, were shadows of themselves, as all business premises within the areas were shut down.

In Onitsha, the commercial hub of Anambra State, the story was the same as streets, markets such as the famous Onitsha Main Market, Ochanja, motor parks, and the ever-busy Upper Iweka, were totally empty of the usual business and vehicular traffic.

AIT crew monitoring the situation in Anambra state reported that there were pockets of gunshots by unknown groups at the popular Aroma and Unizik junctions in Awka, at the early hours of Monday
