Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Atiku Abubakar has described as unfortunate the ghastly motor accident that claimed the lives of some supporters of the party who were returning home after attending the Atiku/Mutfwang Rally in the Central Plateau.
Atiku stated this when he led the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorcha Ayu, and other chieftains of the party to condole with the people of Plateau over the unfortunate incident, where they donated the sum of 30 million naira to the victims.
It’s a moment of grief for the Plateau PDP and indeed the entire state following an unfortunate accident that claimed the lives of some supporters of the party who were returning from the Atiku Mutfwang Rally held at Pankshin. It is for this reason that the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, cut short his campaign activities to visit and condole with the people of the state, with his first point of contact being the resident of the leader of the PDP in the state, former Governor Jonah Jang, where he donated 30 million naira to the victims.
The National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorcha Ayu, while also donating the sum of 10 million naira on behalf of the party, said the victims will be remembered as heroes of democracy.

Former Governor and Leader of the Party in the State, Jang who described the incident as unfortunate, thanked Atiku and his entourage for the solidarity, saying the PDP on the plateau is more united than ever.
Atiku, thereafter, in company of the PDP governorship candidate, Caleb Mutfwang who earlier directed the suspension of all campaign activities, visited the victims at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, where he prayed for their quick recovery, and also the paramount ruler of the Mwagavul Nation, John Hirse, before departing Jos.
