A senior media aide to former vice President Atiku Abubakar, Emmanuel Ekwueme Ugorji is dead.

The deceased died in a ghastly motor accident on Monday night at Lungi barracks axis of AYA -Kubwa highway in Abuja.

The deceased was said to be on his way home from an undisclosed venue where he was honored with “selfless service to humanity award”.

In a short WhatsApp message confirming the incident and sighted by ait.live, spokesman of the former vice president Paul Ibe wrote;

“Dear Team,

“It is with a broken heart that I announce to you that my brother, friend, in-law and our patriot and colleague, Emmanuel Ekwueme Ugoji better known to us as Ohanaeze has gone to be with the Lord.

“We need to be strong and pray for the comfort and strength that can only come from God for the family, friends and colleagues.

Since late last night I have been asking why, but who am I to query God.

“May his soul find eternal rest.

His death comes barely two weeks after the former vice President lost another of his senior media aides Louis Okoroma, who died earlier this month on March 11, 2021.

Emma retired as a senior journalist with News Agency of Nigeria before joining the media team of the former vice President.
