The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and the PDP has filed a petition before the Presidential Election Petition Court, seeking to upturn Bola Tinubu’s emergence as President-elect in the just concluded February 25 Election, hours after a similar petition by the Presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and others.

Part of the PDP’s demands for the removal of Tinubu as the President-elect is that the election was marred with irregularities.

The party’s petition, dated March 20, was filed within 21 days, as stipulated by law, after the February 25 elections.
Others challenging the victory of President-elect, Bola Tinubu is the Labour Party, Action Alliance, and its presidential candidate, Solomon Okanigbuan, Allied Peoples Movement, APM, and Action Peoples Party, APP.
The petition has the Independent National Electoral Commission, Bola Tinubu, and the All Progressives Congress as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd defendants respectively.
