Katsina State Government has reassured residents of the state of the security of their lives and property.
The assurance is coming following the unfortunate incident of terrorist attacks at Dan-Musa, where the mother and brother of the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Dutsinma were killed on November 29, leading to protests and wanton destruction of public property by some aggressive youths in the area.
In a statement by the Special Adviser To The State Governor On Security Matters, Ibrahim Katsina, “the Katsina State Government, wishes to assure the general public that the security agencies are on top of the situation, as normalcy has since returned to the area”.
According to Katsina, while the state government sympathizes with the families of the 2 victims, it will not condone any act of lawlessness, as security agencies have been directed to fish out the perpetrators, and take appropriate action against them.
The statement further added that, given the foregoing, members of the public are hereby advised to go about their normal businesses, while security agencies are investigating the remote and immediate causes of the incident, to avert similar incidents in the future.
