Nigeria’s House of Representatives has decried the incessant attacks and killing of security agents on peace missions across the country, calling on security agencies to urgently conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the ugly development.
The House resolution followed a motion of urgent public importance by Makki Yeleman, who expressed worry that attacking military officers while carrying out their legitimate duty could dampen their morale, endangering the lives and property of Nigerians and affect the war on insecurity.

The lawmaker noted that the development, if not urgently checked, could lead to retaliatory attack by the military and cause huge collateral damage on innocent citizens
The House mandated its committee on defence to interface with the Armed Forces of Nigeria towards ensuring complaince with its resolution and report back within four weeks.
