Attacks on Mosques: South Muslims seek Federal Government’s intervention

Attacks On Mosques

The increase in Insecurity, banditry and kidnapping of Muslims in their mosques in the southern states of Nigeria has been described as unacceptable, while their leaders call on the Federal Government for immediate action as the elections draw near.

Chief Missioner of Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society of Nigeria NASFAT in Calabar, Sheik Abdulquadir Bature made this known while speaking with Journalists during the Malud Nabiyy Celebrations of the Organisation at its Tinapa Junction.

Bature, who said the recent attack on a Mosque in Delta State has negative and psychological impacts on the Muslims living in the Niger Delta Region, called on the security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book.

On his part, the Chief Imam of Eastern Naval Command Central Mosque, Abdulrasheed Dawud wants every citizen to be patient with their leaders.

The State Woman Leader of the Islamic organisation, Nimotalahi Ajetunmobi, called on parents to educate their children on the negative impacts of election thuggery and violence.

The Annual Prophet Muhammed Birthday Celebrations by the religious organisation also witnessed prayers for Nigeria and its leaders for a peaceful 2023 election.
