Five persons have sustained various degrees of injuries at the Bauchi state correctional service as inmates try to instigate riot.
The spokesman of the Bauchi correctional service Abubakar jibrin Adams while confirming the incident to ait.live via telephone said, the incident occurred at about 11 pm when some inmates at the correctional service were trying to break up the correctional facility following the discovery of handset with one of the inmate.

He said the staff of the correctional service on duty sporadically fired gun shots in order to scare the inmates.
as a result five inmates, two staff of correctional service sustained serious injuries.
Presently Normalcy has returned to the facility as security agencies have taken over the area.
