Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has expressed the readiness of his administration to collaborate with the Federal Fire Service to develop a framework and enforcement mechanism to ensure the prevention of fire disaster in the State.
Governor Obaseki made this known this in Benin City when he inaugurated a six thousand litre capacity firefighting truck deployed to the State by the Federal Fire Service.
Edo State Governor said his administration is seeking ways to ensure that the fire incidents at Evbareke, Santana, Ogiso, Ekiosa, and lately Oba Market which left traders in pains and losses becomes a thing of the past.

Comptroller General, Federal Fire Service, Ibrahim Liman who was represented by Assistant Comptroller General, Federal Operations, Thompson Mohammed said the firefighting truck deployed to the State will go a long way to prevent losses due to incessant fire outbreaks.
