This is contained in a statement by the University’s Head Public Affairs, Akilu Atiku urging members of the public to disregard the rumour.
According to the statement, what happened was that the tyre of a moving truck along Dutsinma Road busted at about 8.30pm Friday night, but mischief makers capitalised on the incident to spread rumour about a bomb blast incident inside the University.
