Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed says, he will direct telecommunications companies on Tuesday, to restore services that were suspended across 14 local government areas of the state.

He said reports have indicated that there is an improved security situation, after the over three months of shutting down telecommunications services in the affected areas to curb banditry activities and other crimes.

Governor Mohammed made this known while addressing delegates at State Congress of the All Progressives Congress, APC, where new executives were elected to lead the party to victory in the 2023 general election.

Tukur Danfulani was elected Chairman by the APC faction loyal to Governor Mohammed to lead the 36-member State Working Committee.

Chairman of the APC National Committee for the Zamfara State Congress, Kabiru Masari conducted the exercise, where delegates adopted consensus as mode of election to
produce the new state party executives.

Governor Mohammed called on APC members to support the new leadership of the party, to ensure the progress and development of the State.

Hauwa Habib is the official of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, who led the team that monitored the congress which was held at the Trade Fair Ground in Gusau, the state capital.

Governor Mohammed led two former governors of the state, Senator Sani Yarima and Mahmuda Shinkafi, former deputy governors, federal and state lawmakers, among other chieftains to the exercise that has been described as successful.
