Aviation Key players at the ongoing meeting on the pollution of Jet A1 fuel, have blamed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, for failing to carry out proper oversight functions.

They are also asking the authority not to overrule sabotage in the course of their fact-finding mission.

The emergency meeting in Abuja is coming against the backdrop of the rise in contaminated aviation kerosine, popularly known as Jet A1, across Lagos, Kano and Abuja.

NCAA wants all key actors to be fully involved by making available the needed information to achieve transparent and productive results towards avoiding the recurrence in the future.

Stakeholders also pointed accusing fingers at regulators for not implementing some of the recommendations from the 2017 air incident reports, released by the then Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB.

Airline operators were also asked to improve their maintenance and carry out additional checks while refuelling their aircraft nationwide.
