The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, made the call during the thanksgiving church service to mark the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in Anambra State, South-East Nigeria.
The role of the country’s Armed Forces remains strategic and the celebration of serving and fallen heroes is to thank them for their sacrifice. The Thanksgiving Catholic Mass is to give gratitude to God for helping the Armed Forces in protecting the country’s territorial integrity.

Bishop Ezeokafor in his homely gave a charge to the Federal Government to ensure that its actions help to unite the country.
