The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu has begun the process of rebuilding the party by bringing back old members in his local council.
Ayu received a ranking member of the house of Representatives John Dyegh along with thousands of defectors in Gboko local council of the State.
A mammoth crowd in the real sense of it gathered to witness the cross carpeting of a key stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the member representing Gboko/Tarka Federal constituency John Dyegh as well as a former director at the Federal Medical Centre Makurdi and their teeming supporters.
A ceremony in which the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu who hails from the local council featured prominently presenting them with party flags.

Leader of the party in the North central region Governor Samuel Ortom received the multitude of defectors with a message of unity of purpose amongst leaders in the State.
The number one defector presented vehicles to chairman of the party from the 2 local councils he represents.
