The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, says Azman airline has fulfilled the recommendations made by it; following series of incidents involving its fleet of boeing 737 aircraft.

The General Manager, NCAA, Sam Adegboye, in a statement says for several weeks, the authority has closely monitored the efforts of the privately-owned airline operations, Azman air to advance standard in its operations.

Adegboye explains that in line with Section 35 (2) of Civil Aviation Act, 2006, and Part 1.3.3.3 (A) of Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) 2015, NCAA suspended operations of all Boeing 737 aircraft in Azman’s fleet from March 15th, 2021.

The General Manager said the suspension is to enable the authorities conduct an audit of the airline to determine the root causes of the incidents and recommend corrective actions to forestall re-occurrence.

Even though NCAA was yet to lift the ban on AZMAN Airline, the authority said it is pleased with steps taken so far by the airline to comply with its recommendations.
