An estimated nineteen thousand people, have fled their homes in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State following a spate of attack by bandits on several communities.
These attacks have also resulted in nearly 200 deaths, multiple injuries, and widespread destruction of property.
A total of 13 Internal Displaced People’s camps have been erected to accommodate the displaced population.
Those displaced are now facing severe food shortages, lack of basic necessities, and reliance on humanitarian assistance, with the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA and other organizations working to provide relief and support to those displaced.
