The Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Abubakar Dauran, and the Special Adviser to the Zamfara State Governor on Security, Mamman Tsafe, have been asked to resign, for their inabilities to deliver on their mandate to tackle insecurity in the state.
This call was made by a retired Warrant Officer, Bello Soja, against the backdrop of the resurgence of attacks on communities, by recalcitrant bandits.
The renewed attacks on some communities in Zamfara State by recalcitrant bandits is posing concerns to residents.
It is as a result of this that Soja is calling on Governor Bello Mohammed to open his door for more security consultations so that he can get more innovative ideas and information, which will help in curtailing banditry activities.
He urged the Governor to sack his Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs and his Special Adviser on Security for demonstrating incompetence and lack of security expertise, which is taking the state back to the dark days.
Soja described the attacks and abduction of some members of the communities in Maru, Talata Mafara, Maradun, Tsafe, and even Gusau Local Government Areas in the state capital as unfortunate.
He called for all hands to be on deck to bring to an end to the ugly situation.

The Zamfara State born retired army officer commended security operatives for their efforts to fight the bandits.
He, however, called on them to do more to restore peace and stability in Zamfara State and across the country.
