The Police in Zamfara State have arrested two suspected wives of Notorious bandit’s leaders, Fake doctor and a personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), for allegedly supplying arms, ammunition, and hard drugs to bandits in the state.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested while on their way to deliver ammunitions to the bandits in the Anka and Bukkuyum local Governments Areas of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Muhammad Dalijan, disclosed this while parading the suspects, at the command headquarters in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.
The commissioner of police in Zamfara State, CP Muhammad Dalijan, said the personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), identified as ACS II Maikano S/Tasha was arrested with large quantities of ammunition, including AK-47 rounds and anti-aircraft bullets, as well as illicit drugs such as cannabis sativa which he was taking to bandits at Mada area in the State.

CP Dalijan, added that the suspected NSCDC Personnel was arrested 2 years ago but was later released, and this time he has been arrested by Policemen under his command, there is no escape route for him again, as he described him as a bandits’ collaborator.
The police also arrested one Mamuda Sani Makakari, a fake doctor, who was found with 441 live ammunition, investigation revealed that he has been providing medical care to wounded bandits in the bush.
CP Dalijan said the suspect was arrested with women and children on their way to Anka Local Government Area with live ammunitions to be delivered to bandits, and two of the women detained are the wives of well-known bandit’s leaders, including the Kachalla Jijji and Bello Kaura.


Zamfara CP Dalijan decried the rate at which the bandits are using women in Hijab to transport arms and ammunitions across the state, adding that “we would ensure that only women will search women but any woman plying the road now must be searched thoroughly irrespective of whether she is wearing Hijab or not because it is women in Hijab that are giving us problem here”
CP Dalijan noted that the bandit’s husbands of the detained women have been threatening retaliatory attacks on villages and police formations, if the women are not released
Additionally, the police also arrested two notorious bandits, Aminu Tsauni, known for kidnapping and phone theft, and one Salisu Hegen, a cattle rustler working under the notorious bandit leader Hassan Na-Bamamu.
