No fewer than 36 persons have been reportedly abducted by terrorists who in their large number attacked the Keke area of New Millennium City, in Chikun Local Government Area of the Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria.

AIT.live gathered that the attack happened between 8pm and 9pm on Monday when many residents were still returning to their homes from their places of work and business.

A resident, who pleaded anonymity said the terrorists launched their attack during the rain, with most of the residents unaware because of the downpour. He said most of the people abducted were just returning home during the attack and they just ran into the terrorists.

Another resident of the area, who also pleaded anonymity told AIT.live that, the terrorists operated unchallenged, moving from house to house and breaking into homes to abduct their victims.

He said they came in their large numbers, shooting sporadically and they broke walls to gain access into people’s houses one after the other and abducted the occupants but some of the people escaped in the process.

Communities in the New Millennium City have come under similar attacks in the last two months.
