Suspected bandits have abducted the Provost of the College of Animal Science Bakura, Mainasara Habib, and one other person, in the Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State, North-West Nigeria.
The Provost is said to have been abducted from his residence at Government Science Secondary School located in Bakura Local Government Headquarters on Sunday.
The younger brother of the Provost, Mainasara Nasiru told ait. live via telephone that the gunmen invaded his elder brother’s residence at about 2 am on Sunday, where they took him and one other person away to an undisclosed location.
He said the matter has been reported to the security agencies, but no operative has so far visited the scene of the incident as at the time of this report.

Nasiru is also appealing to the government and the security agencies to do everything possible to ensure the safe rescue of his elder brother and other abductees, as well as stem the menace of abduction.
When ait. live contacted the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, he claimed ignorance of the incident.
