Gunmen suspected to be bandits, have abducted six persons in Zango, a community in Samaru, Zaria.
According to a resident of the area who confirmed this to ait.live via telephone, the bandits stormed the area on motorbikes round 12 am on Friday and kidnapped the four women and two men.

Among those abducted, are a retired civil servant and a woman who works at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika.
Zango community is located in the same area with Ahmadu Bello University Samaru Campus, the Nigeria College of Aviation, the Nigeria institute of Leather Research and Science and Technology and the Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria.
There are insinuations among residents in the area, that the bandits may attack any of the institutions listed, given that schools have now become soft targets for the bandits in Kaduna state in recent time.
Recall that bandits also attacked Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, as well as the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Center, Zaria where eight persons, including an eight month old baby was abducted.
